Here’s
How It
Went

On July 24, 2024, Let Hope Grow hosted an event at Tröegs. While modest in scale, the gathering brought together a strong and supportive group, creating a meaningful sense of community. The event also generated funding through a partnership with the venue, earning 20% of food and drink sales from guests who attended with event flyers.

On September 29, 2023, we hosted a powerful night of live music at Flinchy’s in Camp Hill. The evening opened with performances by Blessing and Fowler, setting the tone for an unforgettable show, followed by a headlining set from Jimmy Charles and his band.

In just two weeks, this event came together from concept to execution, bringing the community out in full support. The result was a successful and high-energy concert that raised over $8,000. More than the funds, the night reflected what can happen when people rally quickly around a shared purpose, creating an experience that was both meaningful and memorable.

On September 21, 2024, we took part in Disability Pride Day in Pittston, PA, spending the day engaged with the community in meaningful conversation and connection. The event created space to discuss a wide range of disabilities, with a focused effort on raising awareness around ALS and the equipment and support systems that can improve quality of life.

Throughout the day, we connected with individuals, families, and caregivers, sharing information, answering questions, and helping bring greater visibility to the realities of living with a disability. It was a grounded and impactful opportunity to educate, listen, and strengthen community awareness.

On October 26, 2024, we hosted a family-focused Halloween event at the Sawyer home, creating a space where the community could come together in a fun and meaningful way. Throughout the day, we shared the mission of Let Hope Grow while offering a variety of activities for all ages, including a food truck, a haunted backyard experience, and a dedicated kids’ area.

The event was held on a donations-only basis, encouraging accessibility while still supporting the cause. To extend the impact beyond a single day, many of the decorations remained in place for families to enjoy through Halloween, with continued opportunities for contributions. It was a strong example of community engagement, blending awareness, connection, and seasonal fun into one memorable experience.
